In this new article Artho Wittemann compares two different approaches to the psyche's structures: Internal Family Systems (IFS) and IndividualSystemik. In IFS the 'parts' of the psyche are not contacted directly by a facilitator, but rather witnessed, adressed and reported through the client himself. In IndividualSystemik the facilitator seeks direct contact to the parts and sometimes even confronts them with inconvenient facts about themselves. This difference in the intensity of contact leads to a surprisingly different picture of both the nature of parts and the selforganisation of the psyche as a whole.
